Buying a car
How old can an imported car be?
Kenya's age limit for used imports and the KEBS inspection every import must pass.
Kenya only allows used vehicles to be imported if they are not more than eight years old, counted from the year of first registration.
Every used import must pass a pre-export roadworthiness inspection to KS 1515 by a KEBS-appointed inspection agent. Ask the seller for the inspection certificate.
On KakaMotors, Foreign Used ads are limited to model years that meet the age rule.
