Our story
Buying a car in Kenya used to mean weeks in WhatsApp groups, yard visits along Ngong Road and prices that changed with every phone call. Sellers struggled too — hours lost to time-wasters and buyers who never showed up.
We built KakaMotors to fix that: one place to compare thousands of cars with honest prices, real specifications and sellers you can check, from first-time private sellers to the largest showrooms on Mombasa Road.

Filter foreign used, locally used and brand new cars by make, budget, year, mileage and county.
Compare
Check real trims, engines and KSh prices, and compare up to three cars side by side.
Buy safely
Contact sellers directly, inspect the car, run an NTSA search, and pay only when you're sure.
What we stand for
Transparent prices
Every ad shows the asking price in KSh, with condition and mileage up front — no “call for price”.
Verified dealers
Dealers earn the Verified badge only after we check their KRA PIN, business permit and physical yard.
Imports you can trust
Foreign Used ads are limited to model years within Kenya's 8-year import rule, and buyers are prompted to ask for the KEBS certificate.
Safety by default
Phone numbers are masked until a buyer asks, and every ad can be reported to our trust & safety team.

2021
Founded in Nairobi by a team of car enthusiasts and engineers tired of WhatsApp-group car buying.
2022
Launched Verified Dealer checks and opened our Mombasa office for the Coast.
2023
Introduced Prices & Specs with real trims and KSh prices for Kenya's most popular models.
2024
Opened the first KakaCare service centres for oil changes and pre-purchase inspections.
2026
Listing cars across all 47 counties, with M-Pesa payments for promotions and dealer packages.
