This summary is for convenience only. The full text below is what applies.
- Strictly necessary cookies keep you signed in and the site secure — they cannot be switched off.
- Preference and analytics cookies improve your experience and can be turned off.
- Marketing cookies are only used with your consent.
1.What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and SDKs in our apps. Together we call them “cookies”. They help the site work, remember your choices and tell us how it is used.
2.Cookies we use
| Type | Purpose | Examples | Can I turn it off? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Sign-in, security, fraud prevention, load balancing | Session, CSRF token | No — the site will not work without them |
| Preferences | Remember filters, saved searches and the ads you reported | kakamotors:session, kakamotors:reported-ads | Yes |
| Analytics | Count visits and see which pages are used, in aggregate | First-party analytics | Yes |
| Marketing | Measure campaigns and show relevant KakaMotors ads on other sites | Advertising partner pixels | Yes — off unless you consent |
3.Third-party cookies
Some pages embed content from third parties — for example OpenStreetMap maps on ad pages, and sign-in with Google, Apple or Facebook. These providers may set their own cookies, governed by their privacy policies.
4.How to control cookies
- To withdraw consent to analytics or marketing cookies, email dpo@kakamotors.co.ke or clear this site's data in your browser.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop sign-in and other features from working.
- On mobile, use your device's advertising settings to limit ad tracking.
